At Pyxis we bet on enjoyable professional work as a global goal of the organization. Our main goal: that each member can grow and develop by tracing their own goals, both professionally and personally. In order to achieve this purspose,  we understand that it is vital to take care of our culture.

Values such as collaboration, companionship, respect for others, teamwork, empathy, horizontality, sincerity and proactivity become essential. In this context, each year we held two events that help us guard our culture. Based on Open Space methodology, they are opportunities to exchange with the whole team. The Open Space starts from the premise of rethinking the organization among all, through co-creation and collaboration.

These meetings work as tools for collecting inputs that become raw material for planning internal culture. They have several aims: provide information about the company and share future perspectives, join the team & give our members time to share, interact, get to know each other. Above all, our Open Space meetings are a bet on the collective construction of the company.

How does an Open Space work? The main difference is that the agenda is assembled by the attendees to the event. It can be assembled live, by hand. To save time, Pyxis developed its own application that is now available to anyone who wants to use it. Thus, each member has the opportunity to raise all the issues of interest and then distribute 5 votes among the different proposals.

The topics most voted by the team will be those that define the agenda of the event. In the post-event, the suggestions and opportunities for improvement raised by each member are taken into account and analyzed. Among the ideas that came out of an Open Space are Pyxis Research (Center for Research and Innovation), Pyxis Open Tech (a full up-to-date meeting in which the team shares its knowledge), the Pyxian Social Responsibility Team, the Program of Recycling (today we compose 100% of our organic waste), the Start Ups Incubator, the creation of Active Pause. These meetings also throw semester to semester inputs to review and monitor tools and processes of Human Development, Internal Communication and Backoffice in general.
